On June 17, 2021, the first plenary meeting of the Organizing Committee of the third “Air Silk Road” International Forum (ASRIF)was held in the core area of Beijing Airport Economic Zone. As highlighted by China International Fair for Trade in Service（CIFTIS），the third “Air Silk Road” International Forum, as the sole aviation industry forum for CIFTIS, has been scheduled in early September. The Forum will last 3 days, with three parts, “1+N+1” mode, “1” is a main forum, "N” are several parallel forums, and "1” is a business visits.
Through cultivation and development for 2 years, , the Forum has become a globally influential platform for aviation industry. The third Forum would be on the theme of “aviation economy boosts high-quality development of green Air Silk Road”, with the “1+N+1” model. In accordance with the development of “Air Silk Road” and the deployment of the national 14th Five-Year Plan, the development of aviation economy will injecting fresh and powerful impetus for a new journey of building a modern socialist country in all respects. Therefore, it is of great significance to successfully hold the 2021 ASRIF.
ASRIF will be jointly hosted by “Air Silk Road” International Cooperative Alliance （ASRAIA）, China International Center for Economic and Technical Exchange, International Cooperation and Service Center of CAAC, Beijing Airport Economic Core Zone Administrative Committee. Beijing Airport Economic Development Co., Ltd., China Association of Port-of-Entry, Finance Center for South-South Cooperation and other institutions also attended the meeting.
MA Jian, deputy director and secretary-general of the Organizing Committee, presided over the meeting. He introduced that the 3rd ASRIF consists of a main forum with the theme of “aviation economy boosts high-quality development of green Air Silk Road” and several parallel forums, on world-class aviation hub construction, driven-by-digitization leading “Smart Civil Aviation”, the 5th Freedom and open skies, “carbon peak”, “carbon neutrality” and aviation industry transformation, international development of integration between industry and education for airport economy. Meanwhile, a series of cutting-edge industry development findings, “China Airport Economy Development Index 2021” and “China Aviation Logistics Hub Development Index 2021”, will be released at the meeting, in terms of; and several projects and relevant policies, such as founding “Air Silk Road” International Forum Advisory Committee, will be released.
In this Forum, some topics such as “exploring the ways to promote ‘Air Silk Road’ in the new pattern” and “exploring the ways to promote Beijing “two zones” (National Comprehensive Demonstration Zone for Expanding Opening-up in the Service Sector and Pilot Free Trade Zone) construction and high-quality development of Beijing Capital International Airport Economic Demonstration Area” are to be explore with all partners. The Organizing Committee expected more than 1,000 people including political dignitaries at home and abroad, and over 500 international organizations, industry associations, research institutions, domestic and foreign airport enterprises, airport economic zones, airlines, aviation logistics enterprises, aviation manufacturing enterprises, financial institutions, aviation ports and news media will be attended.
This Forum is also expected to be broadcast live around the world through the official website of CIFTIS, People’s Daily Online and other online platforms. In order to ensure smooth holding of the Forum, the Forum Organizing Committee plans to set up several specialized working groups on epidemic prevention, security, firefighting and food safety to provide an all-around guarantee for the organization and implementation of the meeting.
