The first plenary meeting of the 2020 China International Service Trade Fair Organizing Committee was held in Beijing on the 4th of June, 2020. Hu Chunhua, Vice Premier of the State Council and Chairman of the Organizing Committee, presided over the meeting and emphasized it is necessary to conscientiously implement the spirit of the important instructions of General Secretary Jin Ping Xi, in accordance with the decisions and arrangements of the Party Central Committee and the State Council, to do well in all preparatory work, ensure that the operation is characterized, effective, and influential up to the “international first-class exhibition" goal.
Cai Qi, secretary of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee and first vice chairman of the organizing committee, attended the meeting.
Hu Chunhua stated with the ongoing spread of the international epidemic and the extremely severe and complex global trade situation, holding a successful service trade fair demonstrates China’s firmness in making “six stability” and fulfilling the tasks of the “six guarantees”. It is significant to show the determination to expand opening up, promote economic globalization, and strengthen international economic and trade cooperation.
He also emphasized the preparations for service trade fair this year are time-critical and tasks arduous. All member units must further enhance their sense of urgency, scientifically assess the development and changes of the global epidemic, improve the overall various plans, and make every effort to ensure such major events as summit and industry forums, start the investment promotion and exhibition invitation as soon as possible, strengthen the supply-demand connection and deal promotion, make solid progress in publicity, and further improve the level of service guarantee. It is necessary to establish a sound working mechanism, clarify each division’s responsibilities in order to make tremendous joint efforts in organizing the fair hand in hand.
